HENRY Claude

Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). Physicist turned economist, Claude Henry worked at the École Polytechnique for more than 30 years, as a professor and as director of the econometrics laboratory. During this period, he was co-editor of the Review of Economic Studies and then of the Journal of Public Economics. His publications focus on: weak interactions between elementary particles; differential equations with discontinuities; option values ​​and irreversibility effect; decisions in uncertainty; the economics of public services and regulation; intellectual property and innovation.

From 1997 to 2002, he was also a member of the Economic Analysis Council, under the authority of Prime Minister Lionel Jospin. Claude Henry is now a professor of sustainable development at Sciences Po Paris and at Columbia University (New York, United States). He is a member of the Academia Europea, a Fellow of the Econometric Society, and a CNRS silver medalist.
