Frédéric Maillard obtained his doctorate in physical, theoretical and analytical chemistry at the University of Poitiers in 2002. He worked for two years as a post-doctoral researcher in the group of Prof. U. Stimming at the Technical University of Munich (Germany) then joined France in 2005 first as a Research and Development engineer at SAFT (Poitiers), then as a CNRS research fellow at LEPMI (Grenoble). His expertise focuses on the relationships between structure, catalytic activity, and stability of materials in proton exchange membrane fuel cells and lithium-air batteries.
