GRAND Dominique

Civil Engineer from Mines de Nancy (1970), Doctor in Physics from the Scientific and Medical University of Grenoble in 1975, he joined the CEA (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives). He has carried out research on the modeling and simulation of flows in the presence of heat transfers, and has held various responsibilities, including the management of the Reactor Thermohydraulics Department. In 2000, he became Deputy Director of CEA Grenoble, for regional development, supporting local authorities with projects in partnership with the University and Research. He was an associate professor at Sciences Po Grenoble and continues to teach energy science and technology there. He initiated the realisticenergy.info site aimed at informing high school students and the general public about physical laws and the orders of magnitude that condition the supply of energy.
