DEMARS Pierre-Thomas

Pierre-Thomas DEMARS studied at the École Nationale Supérieure de l’Eau, de l’Energie et de l’Environnement (Grenoble INP – Ense3), first in the Energy Systems and Markets program, then in the elective semester Pour une Ingénierie Sobre, Techno et Eco-responsable (PISTE), which offers an ambitious teaching program focusing on low-tech, planetary limits and a transdisciplinary approach to ecological issues. In fact, Pierre-Thomas is interested in ecological issues, particularly through the energy axis, but tries to adopt a systemic and radical approach to the stakes.

He also spent a year working on the issue of collective self-consumption at the Grenoble electrical engineering laboratory (G2ELab), as well as writing an article for the media outlet Reporterre. He also worked with the Grenoble INP Foundation, the City of Grenoble and Enercoop on a photo report on citizen renewable energy projects.
In early 2023, he joined the PACTE laboratory for a research internship analyzing the current energy crisis. At the end of 2023, he completes a double degree with IEP Grenoble, in the Master’s program Ecological Transitions.
